Not the anti transmasc transfem reblogging my stuff and calling me a transmisandry truther and a tmra for saying that agab language and gender labels don't have to mean "born with a vagina" or "born with a penis"
Like damn I thought we were all in this together but yall bitches hateful.
Like by using both the label of transfem and transmasc I am not "taking away from trans women" I am simply stating what my gender means to me especially after being exposed to the trans community by trans women and how much that meant for my gender expression.

To every trans, Non-binary and genderqueer kid, teen, young person or adult out there and reading this:
Hold on. For the love of god, hold on. Keep going, find things to live for. This world is awful and hard and dark, but your life is worth so much and you existing simply as yourself makes this world a better place. There are things worth living for. There's cups of tea to be drunk, laughter to be laughed, new songs to hear for the first time, surgeries and treatments to get if that's your thing, friends to be made and memories to be experienced. Even in the world of people hating and oppressing us, we will thrive with love and care. And that includes love and care for ourselves. So hold on for today, ignore the news for today, ignore the terfs and the transphobes and the Bible preachers telling us we're a sin. Ignore all that today, and let yourself be for today. Tomorrow can come tomorrow. Just hold on for today. And we can try again tomorrow. I love you. I'm proud of you, little solider. Keep pushing. <3

i really think people need to understand someone’s gender can be entirely unique to themselves.
Not in a “genderless” way and not in a “unlabeled” way and not in a “neogender” way but in a way where your gender is entirely defined by you.
Am i a boy? A girl? Nonbinary? Agender? Polygender? Genderfluid? I am blio. What is blio? Blio is Blio.
i call myself nonbinary because I am in fact outside of the gender binary. But my gender? Entirely defined by me.

I don't get why everyone's surprised that the brotherhood use the correct pronouns with Dane. I think people have forgotten a major aspect of the fallout environment. The bombs falling destroyed conventional societal norms. This includes any political agenda to erase trans people from history and the future. Also this is fiction. The brotherhood of steel are not a conservative christian political party. They care about what they dub "abuse of technology", this includes the biproducts thereof. The only people who fit that category are synths and mutants who they view as abominations that need to be exterminated. If trans people even counted as abuse of technology (which they don't and shouldn't, as the technology used for transition is helpful and not hurtful), they would be so far down the list the brotherhood wouldn't care. Why would they care. It's really not a big deal imo. It's a big deal in OUR world, but not theirs. Not by a long shot.

Idk about the rest of you but I personally find it really fun and comforting to see people out and about with pronoun or pride pins/patches/accessories. Something nice knowing fellow queer people are around that just kinda eases some tension

The Metamy ship to me is a queerplatonic relationship between a lesbian and someone who's non-binary. Thank you very much. Nothing can change my mind about my hc

Idk who needs to hear this, I know I do, but if you have a coochie and are Non-binary. You are not a woman. You are not just an confused girl or woman adjacent. You don’t owe any one gender ambiguity or neutrality. Your tits and hips do not make you less non-binary. You are non-binary not a woman. And if women try to push you into their spaces or treat you like just one of the girls tell those bitches to get back to the kitchen because you are not one of their “girlies”

My heart hurts. Not physically, but emotionally. I don't like the news, I tend to avoid actively searching it out, for that exact reason. I ache because as people we just can't seem to get along. Learn to compromise and fully try to understand the other side. It's exhausting to understand why people are against certain things, even when it's the opposite of what I personally believe in.

I talked to a trans femme teen yesterday who told me to not use slurs (faggot, tranny) and I think people like to blame social media for these kids being so tenderqueer-y, but this kid also told me that of the 1,400 kids in her art school, there is lots of out gay, trans masc and non-binary AFAB kids but only 10 t-femmes, and I saw in her and this other trans femme teen I know this harsh assimilationist streak (they want to go stealth, strive for conventional beauty standards, jealous of the cis het white blonde girls) because they barely have a community and so it becomes a place to survive.
The internet is this boogieman that distorts what is the consensus. It has a selection bias of hyper isolated, neurodivergent, and anxious people who are just looking to survive
I look at queer kids with annoying conservative opinions I don't see the solution being "internet stop sucking" - the assimilationist woodworking "Cross Dressing Quarterly" trannies of the 90's didn't need TikTok to get this way, it was the violence of the closet.
I see the problem being them being scared kids - what bell hooks calls "the most oppressed class" and I see the solution being a more porous, safe community between kids and adults (outside of the nonprofit industrial complex that uses queer youth spaces to condescend, infantalize, and give resources in a nondemocratic way)
We always say "protect trans kids" and it's worth queer adults of all types toughing through bigotry and accusatory stares to find these kids, build relationships, give resources and love them. All we have is each other. We protect us. Us tranny faggots

Help trans people in the UK!
TERF island sucks, however thousands of innocent people are harmed by their tyranny. Have sympathy for brits like me who would rather be born anywhere else.
An unprecedented attack on trans rights took place last Wednesday, with the UK Supreme Court writing trans people out of the Equality Act by redefining "woman" to only mean assigned female at birth.
Protests erupted across the country, with thousands taking to the streets to fight for trans rights. With our current government, our suffering falls on deaf ears.
Tumblr media
It won't be enough to just fight in the streets, but we need to fight in the courts. The UK Supreme Court is the highest court in the country, with no chance of appeal. However, there is hope.
The European Court of Human Rights can step in if we can get them to recognise this blatant violation of human rights. Leaving the EU doesn't get you out of it! This legal case will be time consuming and expensive, so please donate all that you can to help us win this fight. We're fighting JK Rowling money, but together we can make a difference!
If you can't donate, please share instead!
If you need to know how bad this situation really is, keep reading.
The Supreme Court's ruling, where 3 men decided what "woman" means, puts all women at risk. Male police officers in the UK now have the power to strip search any women they believe to be trans.
It is an offence to enter a single sex bathroom and changing room different from your birth sex, but also to enter one where your presence is "likely to cause offence". This leaves trans men and women with nowhere to go, as well as gender-non conforming cis people.
Non-binary people naturally have zero legal recognition whatsoever, the existence of trans men has been ignored again, and intersex people have been written out of existence.
Trans people are always sent to male prisons regardless of sex. If you don't know the horiffic ramifications of this, Google v-coding.
Gender Recognition Certificates, which were supposed to update your legal sex for all purposes, have been rendered functionally worthless. Trans people are being forced into their assigned sex at birth.
Trans women are banned from rape crisis shelters, domestic abuse protection, and discrimination claims such as equal pay. Trans women have also unsurprisingly been banned from Women's sports.
Trans women are banned from all lesbian groups and organisations, and not just that, cis women are too if they're dating a trans woman. The court ruled that "lesbian" means "AFAB attracted to AFAB", making cis women dating trans women legally straight. The definition also means bi women aren't a thing in UK law now - just a sidenote!
Trans people sent to hospital wards are now always housed according to their assigned sex at birth, regardless of their comfort.
If you're a trans minor, your life is even harder. Puberty blockers and HRT, despite being completely safe and legal for cis people, are banned nation wide for trans youth. The only "help" offered is conversion therapy, which the government calls "exploratory therapy".
And if you're thinking "well, people won't comply" or "My workplace is friendly," then I regret to inform you that this isn't allowed. The UK expects all organisations to update their policies to be trans exclusionary by this summer, and the so-called "Equality and Human Rights Commission" has announced they will persue any organisation which doesn't immediately comply.
By the way, earlier this year the EHRC made the trans panic defense legal. Even kissing someone without disclosing that you're trans is enough to get you convicted with sexual assault. Trans people must always out themselves before any relationship forms or be charged with a sex crime.
Any organisation with bathrooms, changing rooms, rape crisis centres, etc. will be for Ed to exclude trans people. If an organisation lets a trans woman (who in UK law is now legally a man) into a women-only space, they lose the right to operate the single sex space, and can be successfully sued for not letting cis men into it.
The EHRC's recommendation? Trans people use their "powers of advocacy" to request "third spaces" with regards to toilets. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
Tumblr media
We CAN put a stop to this. We CAN defeat transphobia. Bigotry has fallen before and it can fall again. Be the side history remembers fondly.
We'll let you mock our accent if you stop innocent people from suffering first.

Do you have penis or vagina? Are you amab or afab? Are you pre/no-op or post-op?
Are we fucking? Are you asking about protection or researching safe sex? If not, please fuck off! That's an inappropriate thing to ask a stranger.
Please stop making binaries about non-binary people. Intersex people literally can't fall into a genital binary. It's literally in the words. Especially if your trans. We've lived the life defined by our genitals. Why do you then demand others to do the same?
Afab transfem? Don't care.
Amab vs afab enbies? None of my business.
Transmasc lesbians? Look upon my great fields of shits, and you will find it barren and desolate .
I'm not even non-binary or intersex and this shit pisses me off. I was raised a man, have a typical penis, and transfem. I'm proud of this. Some aren't. That's ok.
Some people don't want to be defined by their (current/birth) genitalia or don't want strangers on the internet knowing that. That's none of my business. It should be yours too.

Potentially risky nuanced opinion to voice here on Tumblr, but it's been on my mind:
There are people that are very strict about excluding non binary persons from the trans community and it gives me pause, as a non binary person. Because of this, I'm somewhat cautious about including myself as a trans person in trans discussions.
But I have been wondering if it might be beneficial to have a wide-reaching definition of transness, and to inflate the numbers.
When I am doing queer visibility things, I don't specify which queer i am. I am often femme at these things, and people assume AMAB because I'm a very femme person advocating trans rights. And I can sense them dissecting my face into components- jawline, peach fuzz, receding hairline, thin lips overlined with makeup. Assuming my body is padded or altered. I've gotten anti-trans slurs hurled at me because the people who can 'always tell' don't actually know much about human anatomy.
And part of me wants to be like... go on. Tell me about my prevailing masculinity. Tell me about my facial features, my shoulder size. Tell me about my makeup and my hip pads hair extensions. Show me how little you know.
Like i think about the climax of To Wong Fu, where all the towns people come out and claim themselves as drag queens to protect the protagonists from violence in a very 'i am spartacus' moment.
I want that to work.
I can see flaws in my own thinking.
But I also think that it doesn't help us to exclude people, or to gatekeep, or to nitpick. I understand that there is no singular experience of transness, so it seems silly to exclude non binary persons from the conversation or to say that they can't claim transness.
